is located in Oliver House, an historic building in the centre of Cranleigh dating from 1550, and is a traditional coffee house and tea room.
The coffee house and cottage are named after Oliver Cromwell who visited Cranleigh in 1657. It is reputed that he sat in our main dining room where he signed a charter in return for the hospitality given to him. Some of his men were billeted in the cottage during his stay.
The Coffee House has been established for nearly 50 years, is fully licensed and is set in a lovely old cottage with low ceilings and exposed beams. We also have an attractive courtyard garden at the front which is an ideal place to enjoy lunch in the sun or to make the most of early summer evenings with a glass of wine.
Please take a look at our Menu page, where you will find a range of traditional homecooked lunches as well as a variety of coffees, teas, soft drinks and wines. We are also renowned for our delicious homemade cakes and scones.
